Where are you from?

The Philippines.

What brings you to MIA? Is this your first visit?

I’m an artist – part of the Philippine media. This is a visit for coverage and it is my first time.

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

I liked the material (alabaster), the lines in the material and the hair and the face itself. The whole piece is very rich and captivating.

What brings you to MIA? Is this your first visit?

Yes! We are visiting Toronto for the weekend.

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

I like the orange colour and the texture of the stone (alabaster). It makes her hair seem very flowy and free.

We were attending another cultural event and passed by.

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

It’s very contemporary and an atypical colour for Inuit Art. It’s a lovely carving.

Yes.  I am a tourist and I like sculptures.  I always have the feeling that I want to to touch them.

The colour and it is dynamic.

My cousin is doing a project about Inuit design and history and I tagged along with her, and no, I’ve come here before! 🙂

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

The soft pink colour and the smooth, flawless contours of the hair, so serene and calming!

To volunteer.  Yes, I have been here before.

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

There are pretty colours.  This piece represents Inuit culture in a fun way that catches the eye of a youth such as myself.
