Khattak family, MIA visitors, with “Winter Scene with Dogs and Igloos” by Emily Pangnerk Illuitok, Kugaaruk (Pelly Bay), stove, ivory, leather, hide, sinew, MIA Collection

Where are you from?

Etobicoke, ON

What brings you to MIA? Is this your first visit?

Yes, first visit. At the library, found on the internet.

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

We liked the Central Arctic pieces in general, size and ivory. We liked the way the dogs were realistic and funny. We can understand Arctic life better.
