Playing Favourites: Leo, July 7, 2013

8 Jul

Leo, a MIA visitor, with his favourite pair of walruses in the museum.

Leo, MIA visitor (in his best walrus pose), with “Two Walruses” (1960) by Osuitok Ipeelee, RCA (1922-2005), Kinngait (Cape Dorset), stone, ivory, Private Collection

Where are you from?

What brings you to MIA? Is this your first visit?

This is my first visit and I wanted to come because the art looked interesting.

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

I like the way they are looking.  They looking high up!

Leo with his handmade arctic wolf mask.

Leo enjoyed seeing the arctic animals in the MIA collection so much, that he joined our Arts Assistants to make his very own arctic wolf mask to take home with him!
