Playing Favourites is a running series featuring MIA visitors, staff and volunteers with their favorite objects in our collection.  Playing Favourites is open to every person at MIA, so please let us know if you’d like to participate the next time you visit.

Where are you from?

Toronto

What brings you to MIA? Is this your first visit?

As I was on my way to see the warship I stumbled into the building.  The art was fascinating so I walked in and had a fantastic visit for a first time visit.  I’m sure I’ll return soon!

Why is this your favourite piece in the collection?

The many stories and interpretations of the goddess really struck me.  I’ve never see a piece quite like it and I’ll certainly remember it always!
